Mechanical Design Engineer - SolidWorks

£30p/h (Ltd / Umbrella)

3 Months +

This business is a research and development company who design bespoke SPM and automated systems. They are specialists within the fields of process, automotive, materials handling and general manufacturing solutions. They have an extremely high volume of workload currently and need to engage with a contractor to help them busy through a busy period. There is a minimum of 3 months’ work, but they have a very strong pipeline and this contract could go well beyond the estimated length.

What the role will involve:

  • Concept design
  • Customer liaison
  • Design and detailing
  • Design calculations e.g. stress/ strain / speeds
  • Creating BOM
  • Liaising with internal teams incl. projects, controls, and electrical teams
  • Ability to understand customer’s needs, and identify solutions to meet customer demands
