Training – CITB 3 Phase Electrics, Recognised Manufacturer Service Training, Full Product Training

This multi billion pound business supply both new and refurbished machinery across the whole market sector, from small construction firms to multi-million pound civil engineering businesses. Thanks to resurgence in medium and large scale Civil Engineering projects across the country they are now recruiting for three additional engineers to join their Engineering Department.

The Role

The Workshop Technician will be dealing primary with items of heavy plant that have a fault that can not be rectified by the Field Service Team. As well as this there would also be full refurbishment and overhaul work on their range of second hand Plant.

Due to the nature of the equipment, most of the hands on work will be mechanical in nature, with the Workshop Engineer required to fault find and repair that particular piece of plant, including electrical systems. Most of their equipment’s electrical systems will be 12v / 24v DC, however some of their specialist equipment will have 3 phase systems on board (CITB 3 phase qualification will be provided if the candidate does not have 3 phase experience).

Repair work may include Diesel Engine overhaul; fault find, repair and overhaul of hydraulic systems; work on specialist ancillary equipment; general welding and repair of chassis and bodywork; track and axel repair; plus general oiling and greasing of mechanical components.

The Candidate

  • Must have a level 2 NVQ or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Plant Mechanics.
  • Must have excellent knowledge of Hydraulic Systems.
  • Must have previous experience working on Plant Equipment or Yellow Goods.
