Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Based near Pontefract/Barnsley area
Shifts 6-2/2-10 with a short shift on Fridays
The Company:
A multi-site food producer. This company produce instantly recognisable brands you find in all the major supermarkets. The equipment and machinery on site is bespoke and you will not have seen it anywhere before.
They have a really settled team in West Yorkshire and don’t recruit often so this is an opportunity not to be missed.
The Role:
- Working a double days rota Monday to Friday with an early finish on the Friday, the role of the electrical maintenance engineer is to:
- Conduct planned and reactive maintenance across all areas of the plant
- This involves attending to machine breakdowns which could be electrical or mechanical
- Identifying areas of the plant that could be improved and putting projects together to either reduce machine downtime, make a process more effective or eradicate a reoccurring fault by looking at route cause analysis
- The working environment is highly automated and fast paced
Required Experience:
- The ideal electrical maintenance engineer will need:
- Electrical qualification to NVQ3 as a minimum
- Automated factory maintenance experience - ideally within a food or FMCG type industry
- Strong practical mechanical skills
- The ability to learn quickly and pick up new skills in a fast paced environment
