Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Based in Blackpool
£35,700 + OT + Pension
The Company:
Part of a multi-site food production group that has a portfolio of instantly recognisable brands, this company in Blackpool is a large, well established site which has gone through significant development over the last few years.
New production lines, automated processing equipment and robotic handling solutions have enabled this plant to go from strength to strength and as a result they are now looking for an additional electrical maintenance engineer to join their experienced team.
The Role:
- Working a 4 shift system of 6-2/2-10/10-6 and 7-3 you will only be working nights 1 week in 4 and there are 2 weeks early/day shifts every 4.
- You will be involved with predominantly electrical servicing and breakdowns on the plant but with all factories there will be some mechanical work required of you.
- The electrical maintenance engineer will be working on single and 3 phase systems, invertors, drives, motors and relays.
- Most of the site is controlled by Rockwell PLC’s
- Mechanically you will be working on motors, bearings, conveyors and supporting the mechanical shift engineers as required.
- There are some really interesting projects you will get involved in, from machinery moves, installations and modifications, to reliability projects and engineering out repetitive machinery faults
Required Experience:
- The successful electrical maintenance engineer will be apprentice trained up to NVQ3 in electrical engineering
- You don’t need to be from a food manufacturing background, but you must have experience of maintaining industrial machinery in an automated factory setting
- Any exposure to high speed packaging equipment is ideal
- You must be able to interrogate faults on PLC controlled equipment
