Role – Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer
Salary - £34000 to 38000 (rising)
Overtime rate – 1.5 and 2.0
Hours – Double Days
Holidays – 25 plus bank holidays
Location: York

Based in York, North Yorkshire, my client is a market leading company operating within the food industry. If you have a proven track record in a multi-skilled maintenance role, and have worked on conveyor systems, packaging machines, sortation or any other machinery typically found in a FMCG environment, I am very keen to speak with you.
The Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer must have:
- Time served with a recognised level 3 qualification; apprentice trained
- Experience of maintaining machinery in factory based FMCG/food environment – ovens, conveyors, packaging, filling lines, metal detectors
- Able to fault find both electrically and mechanically
- Mechanically you will work on - Gearboxes, conveyors, motors, Strip down and rebuild kit, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Electrically you will work on - 3 phase panels, invertors, drives, repair production machinery and read drawings
- Fault finding on Siemens and Allen Bradley
The role of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer is:
To work autonomously from day 1 and able to pick up the company’s machinery and process from straightaway. Their production runs 24/7 so reactive maintenance needs to keep the production running aswel as carrying out weekly PPM’s.
