My client is a leading global business providing the highest quality of products in to vast number of customers including aerospace, automotive, medical and the high street retail market. Operating out of 5 sites in the UK and employing over 500 staff they continue to see year on year growth, worldwide turnover peaks at an impressive £1.6bn.
They have 2 sites in Alfreton, operating in tandem, employing 200 staff. The engineering manager will have dual site responsibility and manage them each on their own manufacturing process.
Role
As the engineering manager you will be responsible for:
- Managing an engineering team of 20 over 2 sites
- Implementing a new CMMS
- Full budgetary control
- Managing CAPEX projects
- Supporting the projects team on CI
- Driving OEE and capturing data
- Training and develop your team to create succession
- Reporting back to the business on all engineering activity
- Contractor control
- Full autonomy
Candidate
The ideal engineering manager will have:
- A high level of education within engineering
- A manufacturing background
- A proven record of delivering change
- Examples of delivering CI
- A record improvements on OEE and downtime
