Our client is a global business that operate out of 25 countries boasting a turnover of nearly £4bn. Founded over 40 years ago there are a recognised brand who are continuing to build their portfolio year on year with acquisitions and organic growth.
Their site in Mansfield, which is a highly automated facility is one of the biggest in the country and has seen significant investment and will continue to be improved over the next 18 months.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable business at a crucial time and stamp your own mark to develop your skills but to also create a succession plan for your engineers.
Due to their current and future growth the business now needs an Engineering Shift Manager to help maintain them as one of the market leaders in their sector.
Job
As the Engineering Shift Manager your duties will be:
- Leading a team of 9 engineers including senior and apprentices
- Ensuring all PPMs are completed on time
- Dealing with shift handovers
- Conducting performance reviews
- Conducting 1-2-1s
- Leading a culture of continuous improvement
- Being hands on to support your team
Role
The ideal Engineering Shift Manager will have the following capabilities and attributes:
- Minimum of a level 3 qualification either mechanical or electrical
- Be able to lead from the front
- Managed a team in a supervisory position
- Show a can-do attitude that sets you apart from others
