Role: Engineering Manager
Location: Dagenham
DAYS- MONDAY TO FRIDAY
Salary: Up to £70,000 + 10% Bonus

A fantastic opportunity that has presented itself for a Engineering Manager to work for a leading waste to energy business. The business is incredibly stable with ongoing investment on site. Last week they installed a new bit of kit worth half a million pound. My client is a global business with turnovers more than 500 million and this is done through the ability to recycle various material to prevent them from going to landfill. They need someone to join their team to help drive change and continue the growth and keeping the site run as efficiently as possible.
Role
Your day-to-day responsibilities as a Engineering Manager will include:
- Running support of computerised Maintenance system.
- This would include:
- Analysis of data from the system.
- Root Cause Analysis.
- Identification of areas of improvement.
- Continuous Improvement.
- Implementation of LEAN manufacturing principles from above analysis.
- Managing budgets for Stock, Spares, Repairs, Improvement & Upgrades.
- Oversee installation and upgrade projects.
- Ensure all contractors have Work Permits.
- Running of appraisals, 1-2-1s & recruitment.
- Staff Training.
- H&S Compliance within the Engineering Department.
- Running Management Meetings.
- Compiling reports for Senior Managers on OEE, PPMs, Breakdowns and Improvements.
The Person
To be successful in your application for a Engineering Manager you will need:
- An electrical or mechanical qualification
- Managed a large engineering function
- Driven change through looking at areas of improvement and leading teams
- Maintenance experience in a production, manufacturing or warehousing environment.
