The Company:
A well established and secure engineering business. This company design industrial machinery that is assembled in their busy workshop in Leeds and installed all over the world. They also service and maintain this equipment on customers sites throughout the UK.
The Role:
Working in a busy workshop assembly/manufacturing environment you will be responsible for supervising a small team of stores people to ensure the manufacturing plant has everything it needs to operate effectively.
You will also be working with the service department to ensure they have spare parts and equipment required to service and maintain this equipment on customers’ site.
- This involves managing the design and operation of an effective stores department
- Planning and organisation of the team
- Ordering materials and the associated paperwork that comes along with this
- Identifying areas of improvement within the department
- Driving positive change
Required Experience:
- Significant experience gained within an engineering stores environment
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- IT literate with experience of software-based stock control tools
- The ability to lead a team
- The drive to make the engineering stores more efficient
