I am working with my client based in West Yorkshire who require an Export Packer / Logistics Operative to join the business. The company designs, manufactures, and installs process capital equipment and is seeking a practical, hands-on individual who is confident working in a busy, industrial logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Build packing cases and crates, ensuring all items are packed to international export standards.
• Prepare pallets, follow pick lists, and work from basic engineering drawings.
• Use basic hand and power tools confidently – e.g., chop saws & nail guns
• Operate forklifts, cranes, and other warehouse equipment to move and load goods safely.
• Load shipping containers and company vehicles, ensuring loads are secure and compliant.
• Work across a varied workflow – no two jobs are the same, and priorities may shift quickly.
• Maintain a clean and organised working area and support wider logistics and warehouse duties as required.
About You
• Previous experience as an export packer or in a similar industrial/warehouse environment.
• Comfortable using tools and undertaking hands-on, physical work.
• Experience with forklift and crane operations (tickets beneficial but training can be given).
• Able to read basic engineering drawings and work accurately from pick lists.
• Experience in vehicle loading and container loading is highly desirable.
• Carpentry or joinery experience is a bonus but not essential.
