The Company:
This company design and manufacture specialist packaging machinery sold into the food and beverage industry. You can find their machines in all the major manufacturing companies in the UK. This equipment is state of the art, fully automated and has a fantastic reputation.
As a result of continued growth they are now looking for an additional service engineer who can be developed into their experienced service engineering team.
The Role:
Working from home or from the workshop in West Yorkshire the service engineer will:
- Travel to customer sites throughout the UK conducting planned service work, reactive breakdown support, machine installations and commissioning duties.
- Spend time in the workshop, building, testing and modifying machinery ready for installation.
- Work on electrical systems such as 3 phase control panels, invertor drives, servo drives, safety circuits, and PLC’s
- Mechanically you will work on motors, bearings, conveyors, and pneumatics.
Required Experience:
There is an excellent training and support packaging in place for the successful service engineer to develop you into a product specialist, so all my client is looking for is:
- NVQ 3 in electrical engineering
- Experience of working on industrial machinery in a maintenance or service capacity
- You must be flexible to travel and work away from home extensively as this is a large part of the role
