Field Service Engineer – West Yorkshire
£30,000-£34,000 + Van + 3K Bonus + OT
Based in and covering the West Yorkshire area
The Company:
A multi-national manufacturing business, this company design, build and service industrial machinery. The equipment is fully automated with PLC controls and complex mechanical and electrical systems.
They have built an academy training programme to develop engineers from all different backgrounds to become product specialist
This involves training courses on compressors, instrumentation, F-Gas, electrical training etc
The Role:
Working from home and covering a reginal patch the service engineer will be out and about on customers sites around the Yorkshire area. The service engineer can expect to be home most nights (very limited working away)
- The role involves mainly planned servicing off capital machinery, periodic inspections and writing reports.
- You will also be expected to attend site for emergency breakdowns
- The work is mechanically biased (80%) working on compressors, pumps, pipework, and valves
- Electrically it is 3 phase systems, control panels, motors, sensers, and PLC’s
Required Experience:
- The service engineer will be apprentice trained to NVQ 3 in mechanical or electrical engineering
- You must have industrial machinery experience - either from a factory maintenance background or perhaps from the Navy working on ships or subs
- This role is customer facing so communication and organisation skills are very important
