About the Company

Our client specialises in the Design, Service, Installation and Commissioning of a wide range of Water Treatment Systems. As well as static plant the business also provides mobile water treatment equipment, as well as standalone emergency cover equipment on loan.

The business have experienced double digit growth year on year for over the last decade and continue to expand their operations. As such the business are looking to hire an additional two Field Service Engineers to help with their ever expanding customer base.

About the role

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for visiting customers sites to perform a mix of routine planned overhauls, installation project work and emergency breakdown response. Most of the work will be mechanical in nature focused on pumps, pipework, filtration and separation equipment, and chemical dosing systems. Electrical systems include basic PLC control units and 3 phase motors, with associated sensors and switches.

Their client base is UK wide, so the Field Service Engineers need to be able to travel and stay away when required. Most weeks will consist of one to two nights away, however for large overhaul projects Engineers would be required to stay away Monday to Thursday for the duration of the project. Work would be a mix of lone working, but with the majority working as a team due the size and scale of the equipment.

The Candidate

To be successful in your application you must have the following skills or attributes:

  • Must have a recognised Electrical or Mechanical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, Apprenticeship, etc).
  • Must have previous experience working with some form of automated plant.
  • Must be able to fault find with a multimeter.
  • Need to be based in the West Midlands or North West to be commutable to local Depot.

About You

The business are keen on developing their staff and as such are very open to the sort of background a candidate could come from. Whether you have experience maintaining Process Plant, Chemicals, Food or FMCG plant experience, or even be leaving the Armed Forces, they are keen to speak to you.

Interviews

Despite the current situation with the restriction on movement, the business is looking to interview ASAP as the Water Treatment Plants must be kept running. As such the business plan to do interviews via telephone and then Skype.
