ATA are working with an industry leader and specialist in the design and manufacturing of high-performance recycling equipment, waste processing technology and materials handling systems. Our client pride themselves on the robust and innovative products that they provide to their customers and with over 70 years of industry experience, they have built core values to drive a fully sustainable industry where all waste is recycled.
They are currently looking to employ a Head of Projects to lead and manage the Project department on multiple projects valued from £500k to £8 million. You will have the opportunity to work with industry experts and overlook a hardworking and dynamic projects team implementing strategies and leadership in line with the company’s policy.
The Role
As a Head of Projects, you will have a senior role which is integral to the success and growth of the business, reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely with the leadership team.
Key responsibilities for the Head of Projects are:
• Developing and implementing project strategies, plans, and budgets.
• Leading and motivating project teams, ensuring they have the necessary skills, resources, and support to deliver high-quality results.
• Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, sponsors, suppliers, contractors, and senior management.
• Monitoring and controlling project progress, performance, risks, issues, and changes, and taking corrective actions as needed.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant standards, regulations, policies, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
• Evaluating and reporting on project outcomes, benefits, and lessons learned, and providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
The Candidate
The ideal Head of Projects will have:
- An Engineering qualification.
- A desire and passion for leadership and management.
- Excellent management and leadership qualities.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- A proven track record in successfully managing and developing a department or a team.
- The ability to bring new and fresh ideas.
