Calling all maintenance Electricians

Due to expansion, we are supporting a global engineering business on a huge recruitment drive at their site in the heart of Leicester.  The business who specialise within packaged products are a reputable name within the food & beverage market and produce over 2 billion units per annum, cementing them as one of the giants of the industry.  The company who have been in operation for the last 40 years employ over 240 staff and boast an impressive portfolio of manufactured goods.

These goods are some of UKs most recognisable brands of which have become a staple part of British homes shopping lists. With a turnover eclipsing £170 million the business is going from strength to strength and are set to grow even further in 2021 due to investment of new production lines.

The client is keen to speak to maintenance electricians from any engineering or technical background.

About the role

As a maintenance electrician, you will have responsibility of all daily maintenance activities, which will include planned preventive maintenance, reactive breakdowns, remedial repair and project work.  You will be responsible for maintaining PLC driven automated plant machinery within an fast paced environment, including; 3 phase equipment (415v), hydraulic systems, various types of conveying, palletisers, robotics plus more.    

You will have the responsibility of keeping breakdown time to a minimum, improving machine efficiency and working in conjunction with the groups LEAN and continuous improvement plans

About you

To be considered for the maintenance electrician role you should have the following;

  • Previous experience within a similar environment (FMGG, automated, manufacturing)
  • As this role is purely electrical, you should possess excellent electrical knowledge and experience.
  • Experience with PLCs, variable speed drives, safety control relays.
  • Experience reading and understanding electrical drawings.
  • Recognised electrical qualification, level 3 or above (Essential)

Due to the nature of the job, you should be physically fit and happy to work within a loud engineering environment.
