Electrician
Location: Feltham
Salary: £60 - £70k Per Annum
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00pm – 4:00am (NIGHT SHIFT)
Contract: Temp to Perm after 12 weeks
This leading reactive and planned maintenance engineering company is entering an exciting phase of growth, following the successful completion of several major projects across multiple industries. Building on its reputation for technical excellence and innovative solutions, the company continues to secure a wide range of new and challenging contracts. As part of this ongoing expansion, they are now looking to strengthen their team with the addition of a talented Electrician.
Key Responsibilities of the Electrician
- Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, ensuring all work complies with current electrical regulations and airport safety standards.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on control panels, motors, and associated electrical infrastructure to ensure reliable operation within critical airport environments.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults on motors, variable speed drives (VSDs), and control systems, identifying root causes and implementing effective repairs to minimise downtime.
- Install and maintain electrical control panels, wiring systems, isolators, and circuit protection devices.
- Conduct testing and inspection of electrical installations, including continuity, insulation resistance, and functional testing, ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently.
- Work closely with mechanical engineers and maintenance teams to support servicing, and upgrades of electrical systems.
- Interpret and work from electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation to carry out installations and modifications accurately.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, airport security requirements, and permit-to-work systems in place within operational airport environments.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and job documentation in line with company and client procedures.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new electrical systems, including testing, calibration, and integration with existing infrastructure.
- Adhere to strict airside safety procedures and operational protocols when working within restricted areas of the building
Qualifications & Experience of the Electrician
- Experience in industrial building facilities involving building management systems, buildings pumping applications, pipes, and water treatment
- Electrical qualification required or 18th edition
- CSCS Gold Card
- Knowledge in industrial building maintenance systems and components such as distribution units and boards, control panels, circuit boards, inverters, etc
- Able to work permanent nights
