Panel Electrician / Tester – Derby

£25 - £27 p/h

3-month contract

Immediate start

This business is a specialist manufacturer of high precision machinery. As well as working with globally recognised clients this client has had steady turnovers for many years. They are now looking to expand and require a Panel Wireman to join them on a long-term contract.

The Tester will be responsible for the following.

  • Conduct continuity, insulation, and functional tests on panels.
  • Verify correct operation of relays, contactors, drives, and PLCs.
  • Troubleshoot wiring faults and faulty components.
  • Connect and test panels with PLCs or automation systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical circuits and panel testing.
  • Experience with PLCs, drives, and safety circuits advantageous.
  • Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Electrical qualifications desirable (18th Edition, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds).
  • Document test results and report faults.
