Role: Maintenance Engineer
Shift: Panama Days and Nights
Location: Erith
Salary: £51,500 + Potential to earn using OT
The company
ATA are proud to be working with a global client in Purfleet. Our client are an industry leader in the processing industry producing over 3,000 tonnes of product a day from raw material into packaged products ready to be distributed to their customers. Their main clients include supermarket chains as well as major fast food providers. A lot of investment gets continually made in the site on an annual basis primarily within new machinery or new equipment – they tend to invest near enough £15million on a year by year basis
The Role
As a Maintenance Engineer your tasks will include:
- Reacting to breakdowns to keep the site running as efficiently as possible, common breakdowns include – motor failures, conveyor belts snapping and Compressor failures
- Pre Planned maintenance activities alongside the CMMS, common tasks include replacing bearings, sprockets and more
- Working on various components mechanically and electrically including, over 200 motors, fault finding electrically, relays, sensors and more, Mechanical will include: Bearings, belts, pulleys, gearboxes and more
- Looking into root cause analysis and keep the site developing moving forward
The Candidate
As a Maintenance Engineer you will need
- A recognised engineering qualification
- Be a confident independent engineer for when solo working is required
- A strong communicator to adapt in your new role
- Be confident working on various machinery in a high paced and pressured environment
The Package
As a Maintenance Engineer you will:
- Receive an annual salary of £51,250
- Working a Panama Shift - 3/2s
- Potential training for the right induvial including ATEX, HV training and COMAH training
- Be provided with a Training Matrix
- Overtime will be paid at 1.5x during the week and 2.0x at weekend
