The company
My client is multi national company that has several sites throughout the UK and has a turnover of £150 million. They have an excellent staff retention record along with a great team ethic. They have recently taken over another company and have increased production to meet demand. They have been trading for over 100 years and now have an opportunity for maintenance engineer to join their team.
Due to their excellent training record this role could be filled by an engineer with many years experience or a young maintenance engineer straight out of their apprenticeship.
The role
The role of the maintenance engineer will be to perform planned and reactive maintenance on a variety of machinery. You will be performing root cause analysis and continuous improvements. You will be working in a fast paced environment so there will always be a lot of new challenges. You will be working as part of a team of maintenance engineers from different backgrounds so it’s a great place to learn new skills. This is an electrical bias role but you will be doing some mechanical work also.
The candidate
To be considered for the role of maintenance engineer you must have the following skills or attributes.
- Apprentice trained
- Electrical qualification
- FMCG experience preferred
- Mechanical experience
- Good team player
