The Company

Our client has recently been taken over and now has a new budget to make improvements on site. This is a fantastic time to join while they install new £1M machine and bring the PPM structure up to date. They are a household name with sites globally and have an up-and-coming site in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. They have plans to expand the current site by doubling the number of lines due to growth in orders. This will make the site more automated and run more efficiently.

The Role

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for all electrical and mechanical fault finding and reactive work on production systems site wide. This will include fault diagnosis on motors, relays, contactors and sensors. You will also be responsible for some mechanical work including replacing gearboxes, shafts, pulleys and bearings.

You will be sole on your shift so you must be confident to fault find both mechanically and electrically to keep production running through the night.

Production equipment includes presses, hoppers, naggers, conveyors and hydraulic / pneumatic systems.

The Candidate

To be successful in your application you must have the following skills, abilities or qualifications:

  • Must have previous experience working as an Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
  • Ideally a recognised Apprenticeship, City & Guilds Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3

Training

As part of the induction, the successful Maintenance Engineer would receive fantastic initial training alongside a more Senior Engineer to fully understand the processes.
