I’m currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing site in Doncaster. The business supplies major UK retailers and continues to invest in both its engineering team and production equipment.
This is a great opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer (electrical or mechanical bias) looking for a stable role with strong earning potential and training opportunities.
Role Details
- Position: Maintenance Engineer
- Location: Doncaster
- Shifts: Monday – Friday (3 Shift Pattern)
- Salary: £45,500
- OTE: £55,000 with overtime
The Role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining production equipment and ensuring minimal downtime across the site. Duties include:
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Reactive breakdown response and fault finding
- Mechanical repairs including bearings, hydraulics and pneumatics
- Electrical fault finding on motors, sensors, breakers and inverters
- Working on conveyors, processing equipment and automated packaging machinery
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
The role involves a mix of mechanical and electrical work within a busy industrial production environment.
Training & Development
The company supports engineers with training where required, including:
- PLC training
- Fabrication and welding courses
- Electrical and mechanical upskilling
- Further engineering qualifications
Package
- £45,500 basic salary
- Overtime paid at 1.75x on weekends (OTE £55K)
- 4.5% matched pension
- Medical insurance
- 26 days holiday + bank holidays
- Option to buy or sell additional holidays
