ATA are currently working with a European manufacturing giant, searching for a maintenance engineer within their site in Alfreton. The company who has been established for over 100 years employ over 4000 staff across the globe and boast a portfolio of manufactured goods second to none. This is within the construction materials, automotive and retail sector, where they have achieved a turnover north of 1.4 billion per annum.

About the role
As a maintenance engineer you will be responsible for providing breakdown cover and completing planned preventive maintenance on a busy production site. You will be responsible for maintaining automated plant machinery including various types of conveying, packaging machinery, wrapping lines plus more. The role consists of working within a slightly reactive environment therefor you would need to be comfortable fault finding.
To be considered for the maintenance engineer role, you should have the following:
- Be multiskilled with a slight mechanical bias (60/40)
- Able to lock off and tag out safely to fault find.
- Strong fault-finding skills with the ability to do some electrical fault finding.
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment
- Experience working within a reactive environment
- Recognised engineering qualification level 3 or above (City and Guilds/NVQ/HNC/HND)
