Maintenance Engineer, Tamworth, £35000, OTE £38,000 +

ATA are supporting a bespoke manufacturing business at their innovative site in Tamworth on the search for a maintenance engineer to join their team. The company who are undergoing fantastic investment are installing millions of pounds worth of new equipment which will help them diversify the markets they work in and secure their future. The company who has been established since the 70s are a true market leader, being only one of two companies in the UK who have the in-house manufacturing capabilities to produce large amounts of their product with short lead times. They are a one stop shop for design & manufacturing.

This opportunity would suit a maintenance engineer who is keen on joining a company who are investing in their future and can provide stability of what has been a turbulent year for everyone.

About the role

With this role, as a maintenance engineer you will be tasked with keeping production running efficiently and at optimum performance. You will be responsible for working from the CMMS system to complete ppm’s, process work orders and to keep breakdown time to a minimum.

You will be tasked to work multiskilled, reacting to both electrical and mechanical breakdowns on automated production machinery, which includes CNC and robotics.

Further responsibilities include.

  • Compliance and health and safety.
  • Critical stock control.
  • Working in conjunction with the groups LEAN and continuous improvement plans

About you

To be considered for this maintenance engineer vacancy, you should be comfortable working multiskilled, completing both mechanical and electrical PPMs and reacting to breakdowns when they occur. You should be able to work safely on electrical 3 phase equipment, have the ability to fault find and also be capable of working in a reactive environment.

You should hold a recognised electrical qualification, Level 2 or above.
