Job Title – Maintenance Engineer
Location – West Yorkshire (commutable from; Bradford, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Halifax, Leeds)
Salary - £41k (plus overtime – OTE £44k+)
Shift – 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 3 off, 2 on, 3 off (Days / Nights – Every other weekend off) (42 hour week)

The Role of a Maintenance Engineer
As a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for both Planned Preventative Maintenance Tasks and reacting to Breakdowns as they arise. With product volumes in the hundreds of thousands, speed is king and the Maintenance Engineer must react quickly to ensure the lines are up and running as soon as humanly possible.
Electrically the Maintenance Engineer will be fault finding with a multimeter through to component level, then replacing any faulty component. The site houses several miles of conveyor systems, thus a lot of the breakdowns will be mechanical in nature. This, coupled with the volume of product being moved per day, means that mechanical and electrical components are changed liked for like from stores.
To be successful in your application as a Maintenance Engineer you must have the following skills or attributes:
- Must have a recognised Electrical or Mechanical Qualification.
- Must have previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer.
