About you
To be considered for this Maintenance Engineer position, you should have:
- Proven experience in a maintenance engineer, ideally within a factory environment, however, all applicants will be considered.
- A recognised Level 3 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience working on both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
- Experience working within a fast paced environment would be beneficial.
- Able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Proactive in improving equipment performance and reducing downtime.
About the Role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving a range of automated systems, including Auto Stores, conveyors, shuttle systems, packaging lines, carton erectors, auto baggers, and cross belt sorters.
Electrical Responsibilities:
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability.
- Experience with three-phase systems, control panels, sensors, relays, contactors, and E-stops.
- Confident using multi-meters to identify and resolve electrical issues.
Mechanical Responsibilities:
- Carrying out strip-downs, rebuilds, and like-for-like replacements.
- Repairing belts, gearboxes, bearings, pulleys, and chain systems.
- Working mainly with pneumatics, with some hydraulic systems.
PPM & Improvement:
- Performing planned maintenance using the Agility CMMS system.
- Completing checks, lubrication, testing, and rebuilds.
- Supporting the Reliability Manager and contributing to Continuous Improvement (CI) projects.
