The role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will take ownership of maintaining critical, large-scale production equipment within a heavy engineering environment. The role is hands-on, technically challenging, and supported by a structured training plan. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planned preventative maintenance and reactive fault finding on bespoke equipment.
- Supporting equipment such as conveyors, cranes, presses and more
- Maintaining accurate PPM schedules, shift handovers, and engineering reports.
- Supporting continuous improvement activity across your production area.
This Maintenance Engineer position offers exposure to specialist machinery and technologies not found in standard manufacturing environments.
What they’re looking for
To be successful as a Maintenance Engineer, you will need:
- A recognised engineering qualification equivalent to a Level 3 or above (NVQ, City and Guilds, BTEC, ONC, HNC etc.)
- Strong electrical knowledge, ideally including high voltage systems and IEE wiring regulations.
- A safety-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
