Maintenance Engineer (Either Mech or Electrical, Any Bias Welcome!)
Location: Scunthorpe
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights)
Salary: £46,000 basic + overtime (1.5x, 2x)
Hours: 42 hours per week
The Role
We’re recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a large, clean, high-volume manufacturing site. The role sits within a well-established engineering team and focuses on maintaining production lines, responding to breakdowns, and supporting ongoing reliability improvements.
You’ll be working on a fast-moving production environment, where safety, uptime, and teamwork are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Attending reactive breakdowns across production lines
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPMs)
- Mechanical fault finding on bearings, rollers, gearboxes and wear parts
- Electrical fault finding on safety circuits, relays, motors and inverter drives
- Supporting boiler checks and general site maintenance
- Assisting with reliability improvements and planned maintenance development
- Working closely with production and engineering colleagues
About You
- Apprentice trained with NVQ Level 3 minimum
- Manufacturing or forces background
- Comfortable working in a reactive environment
- Confident fault finding and breakdown response skills
