The Company

My clients are at the forefront of automated systems integration within the warehousing industry currently involved with leading retail and household goods. As a high-volume manufacturer in the industry for over 20 years they specialise in the latest technology for automated product retrieval and storage as well as onsite maintenance for their automated systems. Ongoing updates to the site is a key point of interest for this company with a £15 million investment in new automated lines only last year.

Due to this success and the ongoing expansions an exciting opportunity has opened for a maintenance engineer to join the skilled engineering team and further develop their skills while working for a respected and well-established business. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to work alongside some of the latest state of the art automated systems with a company who are constantly reinvesting in their sites. Included with this role is a clear path for progression, training, and development.

The Role

This maintenance engineer role will involve:

  • Reactive and PPM work on various state of the art automated systems such as conveyors, hanging garment systems, robotics, shuttles, palletisers, cranes, stackers, and de-stackers.
  • Electrical responsibilities including fault finding and working with sensors, relays, contactors, 3 phase electrics and control panels along with swapping like for like components.
  • Mechanical responsibilities include replacing like for like components such as valves, pumps, bearings, belts, hydraulics, pneumatics, chains, and rollers.
  • Working on a shift pattern of 4 on 5 off, 5 on 4 off which allows for 2 weekends off a month.

The Candidate

To be successful in the application for this maintenance engineer role you will need:

  • Recognised mechanical or electrical qualification.
  • Confidence in fault finding on electrical and mechanical components.
  • To work well within a team.
  • Be flexible to work 12-hour shifts, days, and nights.
