The Company

Our client is one of the Midlands largest recycling companies. With site across both the East and West Midlands, their purpose built sites can handle any form of recyclable waste. Their Leicester site processes 300,000 tonnes of mixed recycling waste a year, with only 2.5% of this going to Landfill. The business run their own fleet of HGVs and Trailers and currently require a Maintenance Planner to join the Maintenance Department.

The Role

Reporting into the Workshop Manager, The Maintenance Planner will be responsible coordinating all service work for the fleet of HGVs and Trailers. This will require the scheduling of routine services including arranging vehicle MOTs, ordering of parts, and producing full service reports for each vehicle in line with current VOSA legislation.

As and when a vehicle is damaged the Maintenance Planner will need to schedule in the repair within the workshop schedule, including ordering parts from allocated suppliers. The Maintenance Planner will need to liaise with the Workshop Manager to ensure there are sufficient resources to complete scheduled maintenance work.

The Candidate

To be successful in your application you must have the following skills or attributes:

  • Must have previous experience working as a Maintenance Planner or Service Coordinator in an engineering environment.
  • Must have excellent IT skills.

You do not have to specifically have knowledge around HGV service scheduling as the business can provide training on the legislation.
