This modern Business based in Corby are looking to add a Mechanical Design Engineer to their dynamic engineering team that already boast over a 100 years of industry experience, you will have the chance to work on exciting projects and new product development with a business that pride themselves on providing the best equipment to help their customers increase productivity, efficiency, and safety.
The Role:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial part producing the best design solutions for new and ongoing projects using AutoCAD and Auto Desk Inventor software.
Some of the duties of a Mechanical Design Engineer will be to:
- Produce 3D modelling for components and assemblies.
- Produce 2D drawings for manufacturing and assembling products.
- Produce 2D Layout drawings.
- Carry out engineering calculations.
- Prepare product manuals with technical details.
- Attend client sites when required.
The Candidate:
The ideal Mechanical Design Engineer will have a passion for design and engineering, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team and as an individual.
To be successful in your application for the Mechanical Design Engineer role you will need:
- CAD software experience in both 2D and 3D.
- Experience in designing machines, sheet-metal, and machined parts.
- Ability to carryout the relevant engineering calculations.
- A mechanical engineering qualification.
