Mechanical Design Engineer – Derbyshire
AutoCAD 2D & SolidWorks or Inventor
£25-£30 p/h Ltd - Outside of IR35
Initial 3-month contract
Must have own official licences and laptop
Can WFH as and when possible
This client is a Plant Engineering business who offers bulk materials handling and processing solutions to a range of industries. They provide a turnkey bespoke solution to their clients and combine the use of existing technology with the production and manufacture of their own products to offer their clients a tailor-made solution which fits their needs.
What the role will involve:
- Design and detailing of plant layouts and process lines in AutoCAD 2D & 3D
- Taking a brief or concept and turning that into a completes design
- You will lease with suppliers, clients, shop floor colleagues, and third parties
- Complete P&ID’s, and manufacturing information.
- Ability to understand customer’s needs, and identify solutions to meet customer demands
What the company are looking for within a candidate:
- Design Experience (3yrs +) – Using AutoCAD 2D & Solidworks or Inventor
- Can produce 3D models, plus 2D layouts
- Able to produce manufacturing drawings & BOM’s
- Experience of designing plant layouts
- Can take concepts and turn they into completed design
- P&ID’s
- Has worked in process environments
- A great can-do attitude
- Flexible team working mentality
- Autonomous working attitude
