Mechanical Fitter
Location- Widnes
Salary- £42,000 – £44,000 per year + Performance-Based Pay Rises
Shifts- Monday to Friday – Double Days (6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm)

The Role:
As part of the engineering maintenance team, you’ll be responsible for:
- Repairing and maintaining mechanical systems including pumps, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulics & pneumatics
- Fabricating and welding (MIG & Stick) components and parts for plant machinery
- Setting up and aligning machinery, moulds, and tampers with precision
- Supporting continuous improvement across the site, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency at all times.
What We’re Looking For:
- NVQ Level 2 + in Mechanical Engineering OR Welding.
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance and fitting
- Must be competent in welding (MIG & Stick)
- Knowledge of hydraulics/pneumatics is an advantage
- Proactive, flexible, and a strong team player
