Mechanical Fitter – North West

£55,000 – £60,000 | Company Van | Flexible Hours

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter on behalf of a market-leading, well-established engineering company based in the North West. This is a long-term, stable opportunity with a business that invests heavily in its people, equipment, and future growth.

The Role

  • Mechanical fitting and maintenance across multiple sites in the North West
  • Sites are located close together, minimising travel
  • Home-based role with travel directly to site
  • 45-hour working week (40 hours on site, 5 hours travel)
  • Strong mechanical bias with some electrical and welding work

Mechanical Responsibilities

  • Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs)
  • Reactive maintenance and breakdowns
  • Mechanical fault finding and repairs
  • Strip downs and rebuilds of machinery and plant
  • Mechanical installations and removals
  • Welding duties including MIG, TIG, and Stick
  • Supporting basic electrical work where required

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter
  • Strong mechanical background with basic electrical knowledge
  • Welding experience (MIG / TIG / Stick)
  • Experience with PPMs and reactive maintenance
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Comfortable covering multiple local sites

Package & Benefits
