We are excited to be working with our client who is amongst one of the leading Tier 1 automotive suppliers across the UK, who are in their search for a Mechanical Fitter to join their well stablished manufacturing team in Burton Upon Trent.
As our client is one of the leading automotive suppliers in the UK, their turnover has continued to increase year on year, with the turnover reaching north of £5.3 Billion worldwide. As well as this, with multiple sites across the UK, our client has been able to invest into multiple areas of their sites with brand new machinery.
Our client supplies to some of the largest automotive companies in thew world and in doing so now operate across 12 countries with more than 18 manufacturing sites, producing over 73million units annually. Therefore, this is a great opportunity to join a market leading company with the ability to work on modern machinery.
The Role
The role consists of purely mechanical work and is 100% hands on. Therefore, as the Mechanical Fitter onsite, you will be responsible for:
- Planned maintenance
- Reactive maintenance
- Machining and fabrication ranging from skills such as welding, using a lathe and milling machine.
- Maintaining machinery such as cranes, hoists, pneumatics, and hydraulics systems.
The Candidate
To be considered for this Mechanical Fitter opportunity, you will need:
- Must have a minimum Level 3 Mechanical Qualification
- To be comfortable working in manufacturing environment.
- Machining and Fabrication skills.
