Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrically biased) - West Yorkshire
Shifts: 6-2/2-10 Mon - Fri
3-month contract [inside IR35]
Umbrella Pay rate - £22.08p/h (after employer deductions)
Our client
I am recruiting exclusively for a superb client in West Yorkshire located ideally to Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield and Wakefield. They are looking for a Maintenance Engineer (multi-skilled electrically biased) to assist with day-to-day breakdowns and PPM in their manufacturing plant. This is for an initial 3 months’ contract with work expected till the end of this year.
General key duties:
v Reactive and planned preventative maintenance, electrical duties are key, but working on mechanical issues is also required and possibly most of the time
v Fault finding and repair of electrical components and controls (control panels, invertors, sensors, 3 phase power, relays etc)
v Mechanical capital process equipment (pumps, valves, gears, conveyors, packing lines, mixers, tanks and process equipment etc)
v Good experience with LEAN, 5’s and Continuous Improvement principles
The successful candidate:
v Able to work autonomously, with a ‘right first time’ mentality
v Experience within a large industrial plant with process (FMCG) manufacturing
v Strong communication skills, with a keen eye for Health, Safety and Quality within highly regulated environment
v You will ideally be minimum apprentice trained with electrical bias (NVQ L3 etc) and 18th edition would also be desirable
