Our client is an established, highly respected family own food manufacturing business that have been based in Leicestershire for over 100 years. Currently operating out of 17 sites around the UK and supplying in to all the major supermarkets, including Marks & Spencer and Tesco. Turnover is now over £1 billion and have a year on year growth.
Their ready meals site is looking for a Production Planner to be part of the planning team. You will work closely with the operations, supply chain, engineering and technical to create teamwork and strong working relationships, which are crucial to the performance of the business.
Role
As the Production Planner you will be responsible for:
- Plan the production for the day
- Ensure production is meeting plan
- Working closely with the stock control team to ensure enough stock is available
- Ensure wastage is kept to a minimum
- Report any shortfall
- Reporting operational data and cataloguing
Person
The ideal person for the Production Planner will be:
- Currently working as a production planner
- Or currently working in a food manufacturing environment
- Strong IT skills with the ability to learn new systems
- Be a team player
- Desire to learn
