ATA Search is once again recruiting for a market-leading volume manufacturing business based in the heart of Northamptonshire. Due to succession planning, this business is now looking to recruit a Project Engineer from within automotive and or plastics moulding to join the team.

The role of the Project Engineer will be as follows:
- The role of the Project Engineer will typically be factory-based with occasional meetings with customers and suppliers
- Lead all manufacturing project engineering related from project nomination to full production
- Responsible for the design reviews and feasibility study - Review the manufacturing techniques and ensure they have the technology to manufacture the products
- Support cost estimations, build target plans and build cross-functional teams (quality, logistics, injection mould specialist and production engineering)
- Set up timing plans and work with suppliers and customers to support manufacturing schedules
- Coordinate tooling manufacturing and coordinate all projects related to assembly
- Manage trials from tool makers and tooling suppliers
- Using Microsoft Projects and Gantt charts to manage projects
- The utilisation of the company ERP system (SAP) – training provided
The ideal Project Engineer will have a combination of the following:
- An experienced Project Engineer or Project Quality Engineer
- The ideal applicant will have either automotive or plastics experience ideally a combination of the two
- A suitable engineering qualification – degree preferred
- A proven track record in project engineering activities within a manufacturing environment
- Experience and comfortable face-to-face with customers and suppliers as well as presenting project engineering solutions
- Detailed conscious, strong planning and someone who is highly organised
