The Company

My client is a global business with this being the only site in the UK.  They turnover well within the billions which offers an immense level of security. They handle their customers products in one of the largest sites in the UK in their market. They have clear strategy and structured plan to invest £10 million in upgrading their equipment, facilities and to make way for Continuous Improvement projects which you will be involved with from start to finish. The beauty of the site is they have equipment which is brand new as well as equipment dating back over 50 years which means you will have plenty to get your teeth stuck in to right from the start.

The Role

As a Projects Manager you will be responsible for working within Capex budgets, preparing technical proposals, and discussing technical specifications with internal stakeholders. You are to provide efficient delivery of highly technological focused projects and improvement programmes.

Some of the duties that the Projects Manager will have to carry out are:

  • Undertake budget responsibilities up 1.5 million pounds, this will be signed off by finance.
  • Prepare technical proposals.
  • Assist with commissioning where required, applying your engineering ability and knowledge.
  • Liaise directly with the short-list of suppliers, obtain the best quotes, and get approval from head office.
  • Manage contractors for installation of new machinery, utilities, and modifications to existing equipment.

  • Engineering qualification.

  • Strong engineering background.
