£28,000 – 31,000 + 24 Days Holiday (rising to 25 after 1st year) + Stats + Competitive Pension

 

The Company

My client is a well-known and highly regarded engineering company with a history of providing employment within the area for over 200 years. With a team currently consisting of c150 staff, they are experiencing huge growth and are aiming to double their turnover in the next three years.

The company employs 140 staff of which 80 are employed in professional engineering role across software, process, electrical and mechanical disciplines. The company are experiencing huge growth in large-scale projects won and anticipate they will turn over c£70 million in 2021.

The company are looking to recruit a Quality Assurance Technician to join the manufacturing department of the business who will be responsible for putting together technical documentation and data dossiers required for projects to show they have manufactured to the right standards and gives full traceability for quality assurance.

 

The Role

The Quality Assurance Technician collects all the technical documentation required for projects being manufactured by the business.  These data dossiers and technical information packs are then provided to customers at the end of manufacturing on a project to show traceability standards for materials and processes used in manufacturing process.

Documents that go into the dossier/technical construction files include:

  • Technical specifications
  • Declaration of conformity of materials
  • Technical drawings
  • Weld qualifications
  • Records of calibrations

The company manufactures circa 40 systems of special purpose equipment a year with each dossier potentially taking up to one week to complete, therefore a good attention to detail and the ability to self-motivate and chase internally and externally for information is a must for this role.

 

The Person

To be successful in your application for this Quality Assurance Technician vacancy you will need:

  • Keen eye for detail
  • Self-starting/motivated
  • To be happy working under your own supervision
  • Previous experience in a role collating large amounts of documentation.

For this Quality Assurance Technician role you will receive:

  • £28,000 – 31,000 per annum
  • £20 paid overtime after 37 hours
  • 24 Days (rising to 25 after 1st year) + 8 Stats
  • Competitive Company Pension
