The Company
My client is a global powerhouse, with a proactive and forward-thinking approach they have become a world leader within heavy manufacture and recycling.
Utilising their near 80 plus year experience, they’ve developed techniques and processes that allow them to manage their resources through an almost entirely closed-loop supply chain. With nearly 30 companies under their umbrella and recycling facilities worldwide, they’ve developed a method to utilise almost all waste into new product which is then, in turn, supplied into building merchants.
Due to growth, a new role has become available to act as support to the Operations Manager in the form of Production Manager. This position is immediately available for a skilled Production Manager, and not only would you be joining a friendly, close-knit company, but one with an emphasis on sustainability and technological advancement through which can provide excellent future opportunities.
The Role
In this role, the successful Production Manager will be acting as 2nd in command to the current Operations Manager as they concentrate their efforts on more operational, strategic issues. Within this position, the Production Manager will primarily be focussed on the more day-to-day running and output of the production facility.
Daily responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with the Supervisor and operational team to ensure all orders are completed correctly and safely
- Working towards various KPI agreed with various department
- Achieve all customer fulfilment in a timely manner making sure their expectations are met
- Liaising with various departments such as Transport, Operations and Engineering allowing the flow of all work being completed within agreed timeframes
- Monitor and record production levels on SAP system as well as forecast future orders
The Person
Due to the nature of the product being recycled and reformed on this site, health and safety is paramount therefore to be successful in your application for Production Manager, a very strong H&S understanding is crucial. This is of paramount importance.
Alongside this, the successful candidate will have:
- Strong communication skills
- Experience working within production in a manufacturing environment
- Experience managing teams of production/ operators
