Service & Commissioning Engineer (international)
£40K-£50K + Car + Pension + Overseas allowances + OT
Based from home – anywhere in the UK
The Company:
The commissioning engineer will be working for a global market leading business that design and manufacture complex process machinery. This machinery is installed and commissioning all over the world and they have a team of specialist engineers that help them do it.
The Role:
The commissioning engineer will be based from home but spend the majority of their time on customer sites in the UK and globally:
- Their clients are in Europe, America, and Asia
- The equipment is fully automated so the bulk of the commissioning work is based around testing the electrical ad PLC systems once they have been installed onsite
- Electrically the equipment includes control panels, invertors, drives, relays, safety circuits.
- The PLC is specified by the customer so you will come into contact with most makes and models, but they do use a lot of Mitsubishi, Siemens and Rockwell.
Required Experience:
- The commissioning engineer will be a qualified and skilled electrical engineer with industrial machinery experience.
- You can be a maintenance or service engineer looking to develop into a commissioning role, or you can be a seasoned commissioning engineer looking for a new challenge.
- You must be flexible to travel and work away extensively. You will be paid handsomely for this in expenses and OT but you will spend a lot of time away from home.
- PLC experience is required but they will also develop this skillset as training on this side of this is excellent.
