Role - Service and Commissioning Engineer

Salary - £34000 – 39000 plus overtime (OTE £50K!) plus company car

Location – UK and international (working from home with extensive travel globally)

Overtime – Yes

My client is a recognised global manufacturer of top tier bespoke machinery, worldwide. They are the best in what they do and have offices globally to supply their services and equipment, everything is designed and manufactured on sight and are made to customer specifications. They are growing from strength to strength and are projected to turnover £40m by the end of 2021.

As a Service Engineer you will be responsible for visiting sites to commission new machinery and carry out upgrades and service work.

Additional responsibilities of the service engineer:

  • Provide technical support to customers and service engineers
  • Replace and repair pumps, valves, compressors, pneumatics, pipework
  • Work with control panels, motors, instrumentations, PLC’s, AC/DC drives
  • Install and commission bespoke machinery
  • Commission electrical PLC’s through; testing, interrogation, and modifications

Requirements of the service engineer:

  • NVQ Level 3 electrical qualifications
  • Can interrogate, modify PLC’s
  • Flexible and happy to travel anywhere
  • Can fault find both electrically and mechanically
  • Work part of a team and autonomously
  • Service and commission background
