Site Manager – 3 Month Contract
Location: Sunderland
Shift: Monday to Friday – 10-hour shifts
Rate: £400 Day Rate
Contract: LTD (Outside IR35)
Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to support a major manufacturing project in Sunderland. This role focuses on the installation of automation systems and machines on site. You’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day site activity, coordinating multiple installation suppliers, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and delivery on site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day site operations and coordinate subcontractors and automation teams
- Oversee installation and commissioning of automation systems
- Ensure CAPEX project milestones, budgets, and quality standards are met
- Enforce HSE compliance and site safety standards
- Liaise with engineering, project management, and client stakeholders
- Monitor progress, resolve technical/site issues, and provide regular reporting
Requirements:
- Needs high level safety training
- CSCS Black card
- SMTS or SSSTS
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within automation type industry or large-scale CAPEX projects
- Strong background in industrial automation or manufacturing environments
- Demonstrated ability to manage fast-paced installation and commissioning phases
- Excellent leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Availability for a full-time on-site 3-month contract
