Business Overview
Our client is a rapidly expanding company delivering design, manufacture, installation and commission of conveyors and materials handling equipment. Despite the constraints of the COVID 19 pandemic they have continued a sustained period of growth and have delivered multiple large construction and refurbishment projects. As such there is now a requirement for a well-rounded Site Mech/Pipe Fitter to support the modification of an existing process plant which includes the upgrade of conveyor systems and associated process pipework in the plant.
The Role of the Site Mech/Pipe Fitter Includes:
- Modification of existing process plant and upgrade of conveyor system.
- Removal of old and installation of new conveyor system
- Changing motors, drives and bearings
- Pipefitting on PTFE sealed ½ inch to 2 inch threaded/galvanised pipe
- Assisting with mechanical fitting
- 10-hour shifts/Mon-Fri and weekends when required/7:30-5:30 p/w
- 2-month contract
The Requirements of the Site Mech/Pipe Fitter are:
- BTEC, NVQ L3 Mechanical Engineering/ time served apprentice
- Site Safety – CSCS gold card/ CCNSG/ Ace Card
- Heavy Conveying/ Materials Handling Equipment/Pipework experience
- Hard worker
- Flexible to work weekends when required
