My background in recruitment
I've been in recruitment since 2019, initially in healthcare recruitment, specialising in sourcing support workers for individuals with spinal cord injuries and assisting them in their transition from hospital to home. I then moved into global recruitment, specialising in reverse logistics, aftermarket services, and the circular economy. In this role, I predominantly focused on the recruitment of senior management within the electronics repair, refurbishment, and returns sector, markets where experience is scarce and competition for talent is high.
Across every role, including ATA, one thing has remained consistent: I find people with highly specific, hard-to-replicate skill sets. These are professionals who are rarely active on the job market because their experience is in constant demand. My strength lies in engaging this passive talent and matching not just skills and responsibilities, but long-term vision, culture, and strategic direction.
I can help you with
I specialise in recruiting white-collar engineering professionals across design, project, and technical sales roles throughout Yorkshire. Taking a consultative, insight-led approach, I work closely with candidates to understand their ambitions, motivations, and ideal working environment, ensuring every opportunity I present is aligned and meaningful.
For clients, I invest time in understanding your business, culture, and long-term objectives, enabling me to deliver not only technically capable candidates but also individuals who will add long-term value and thrive within your organisation.
The best part of my job
The best part of my job is being part of the moment when a truly strong match is made between a candidate and a client. It is incredibly rewarding to see how someone’s unique skill set, experience, and aspirations align with a strategic gap in a business. Knowing that I have played a role in creating a connection that benefits both sides, helping a company progress while enabling an individual to take the next meaningful step in their career, is what motivates me every day.
What I do when I'm not in the office
You’ll usually find me in the gym or involved in voluntary work most evenings of the week, including serving on the Board of Trustees for a small local charity. I’m very close with my family and value time spent with them, whether that is a quiet games night with my parents or babysitting my two lively nieces. My nephew is going to university studying performing arts, and I love to watch him perform.
When it’s time to slow down, I’m happiest out on a hike or wandering the streets of York, my second home as a YSJ graduate, usually with a book never too far away. Last year I finished 39 books, and I’m always on the lookout for the next great read.
