In a shift team there is a Maintenance Team Leader, Deputy Team leader, a few engineers and a couple of Automation Assistants. Having an Automation Assistant on shift will allow you as an Engineer to look into the Continuous Improvement of the site as this is a big thing for the longevity of the site. As a MDTL your day to day responsibilities will include: Working alongside your Maintenance Team leader making sure that you are both happy with the 4 engineers on shift and reporting any problems either way Stepping up into a Team Leader role in their absence Promote a strong safety culture and adhere to Health & Safety and statutory procedures Prepare and chair Daily Review Meetings with Key Stakeholders Undertake analysis of CMMS data to assist forward planning for CI opportunities Working on highly automated state of the art equipment – including Automated shuttle systems, Some of the latest robotics, Various Conveyor Systems just to name a few!
