Electrical Bias Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer.

LOCATION: Wakefield

SALARY: £33,000K - £34.500K annual salary + overtime is available.

HOURS OF WORK: Double days – includes half day’s every Friday.

HOLIDAYS: 25 days annual leave, plus 8 days bank holiday.

BENEFITS: 12% pension contribution + health package + life assurance + production bonus.

THE COMPANY

I am working with a reputable FMCG manufacturer in Wakefield, who are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer with FMCG experience.

They are well respected in their field and have a long list of well-known retail clients throughout the UK. Employing over 300 staff on site, and over 30 in their engineering department. They have invested a large amount into their production plant giving you the chance to work with some of the state of the art, bespoke machinery.

THE ROLE OF AN ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

As an electrical maintenance engineer your role will be:

  • Repairing and maintaining bespoke machinery onsite.
  • Providing technical advice on continuous improvement.
  • Planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Working on electrical systems such as AC/DC drives, inverters, relays contactors.
  • Mechanically you will be working on bearings, shafts, chains, pulleys, motors.
  • You will be fault finding on PLC equipment.

THE IDEAL ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

As an electrical maintenance engineer, you should have an electrical NVQ level 3, ideally within a FMCG environment. We are searching for someone who is electrically biased but with strong mechanical skills and is confident working on their own, as well as part of a team.

 The role will require someone who can hit the ground running with their electrical and mechanical skills.

The successful electrical multi-skilled maintenance engineer should be confident with maintaining automated plant machinery, packaging, baggers, conveyers, hydraulic, pneumatics and more.

Candidates must have a keen interest and passion for engineering and a flexible approach to assist with departments requirements.

Desired skills:

•             Electrical fault-finding skills and using a PLC to find faults.

•             Factory maintenance experience with electrical skills.
