Facilities and Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias)
Based in Derby – 3 Month Contract
Monday to Fridays Day Shift
PAYE £32.33 Per Hour or £35ph Umbrella
Largest manufacture of skin care, cleaning and hygiene products for professional markets. Following the success of previous contracts a new opportunity is available. The business is now looking for a facilities Maintenance Engineer to ensure the upkeep of the building and the operation and maintenance of mechanical pumps. The day-to-day responsibilities of the Facilities Maintenance Engineer will involve the following.
- Perform routine maintenance of building facilities and systems (lighting, HVAC, Fire alarms, etc
- Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment with a focus on pumps
- Strip, rebuild, and test pumps as required
- Carry out preventative maintenance to minimise downtime
- Respond to breakdowns and emergencies efficiently
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards
- Collaborate with other engineers and departments as needed
The Facilities Maintenance Engineer must possess the following skills and experience.
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance and mechanical engineering
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, particularly pumps
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
- Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Mechanical engineering qualification preferred
The benefits of this contract are the following.
- Monday to Friday Day shifts
- Minimum of 40 hours per week available
