Training and Progression

For a Maintenance Engineer working with our client, you can receive:

What you’ll be doing
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance on a wide range of automated material handling systems within a large-scale distribution centre. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reactive and planned maintenance on conveyors, pallet stacker cranes, wrappers and more automation equipment.
  • Electrical fault finding on inverters, relays, contactors, sensors, switches, and motor drives using a multimeter and electrical drawings.
  • Mechanical work on shafts, bearings, chains, belts, pulleys, sprockets, and drives.
  • Supporting systems controlled by Siemens S7 and safety PLCs (I/O checking advantageous, training available).
  • Working safely at heights and always complying with health & safety legislation.

What the client is looking for
To succeed as a Maintenance Engineer, you will need:

  • A recognised engineering qualification equivalent to a Level 3 or above (NVQ, City and Guilds, BTEC, ONC, HNC etc.)
  • Confidence working at heights and in customer-facing operational settings.
  • Strong fault-finding skills with a proactive, quality-focused mindset.
