Job Title - Electrical Engineer
Shifts – Monday - Friday Double days (6-2 & 2-10)
Location - Wellingborough
Salary - £32,000 - £38,000
Pension - 10%
Benefits – 25 days + 8 bank holidays
The Company
Our client is the leading manufacturer in their field of food products who have been established for over 70 years. This business is a real success story and has multiple sites and boasts a turnover of over £70m.
Their site in Northamptonshire produces a number of different high quality products and supplies in to the automotive market. The business has major growth plans and is planning significant investment in to new productions in 2021.
You will form part of a close-knit engineering team who have a varied background and length of time with the company.
The Role
The engineer will be responsible for all electrical and mechanical fault finding and rectification work on production lines on site. For electrical work you will be able to fault find through to a competent level with a multimeter or by checking inputs and outputs, reading schematics and checking HMI screens.
Electrical components include sensors, relays, safety circuits, 3 phase motors, switches & panels.
Mechanical work will include pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, belts, gearboxes and bearings.
The work will be a mixture pf planned and reactive maintenance
The production process includes silos, tanks, presses, pumps, conveyors, packaging and palletisers.
The Candidate
To be successful in your application you must have the following skills, abilities or qualifications:
- Must have a recognised minimum of a level 3 mechanical or electrical qualification (apprenticeship, NVQ level 3, BTEC, ONC, C&G, HNC, HND).
- Experience of working within a FMCG or Automated Production environment.
- A positive can-do attitude.
